BPSU Conducts Research Project on Coastal Resource Utilization and Management in Bataan

The Provincial Project Management Office (PMO), in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), conducted a round table discussion with the proponents of the research project entitled Coastal Resource Assessment led by Mrs. Arlene D. Ibañez, Director of Research & Development office (RDO) and Mr. Alvin B. Cervania, project leader and faculty researcher from BPSU Balanga Campus on March 5, 2010 at the Provincial S&T Office at the Capitol Compound, Balanga City.

The aforementioned research proposal was submitted to the Department of Science and Technology-Region 3 for evaluation and funding. Engr. Alexander M. Baluyot, Director of Bataan Integrated Coastal Management Program (BICMP) gave suggestions and recommendations to enhance the research proposal.
In addition, areas of duplication with the activities being undertaken by the BICMP team, and collaboration to be done with the group were identified on the said consultation.

The Supervising Research Specialist of DOST-3, Mr. Wilfredo F. Sibal, was also present during the discussion.
