PCW AND PETA TEAM UP FOR BPSU OFFICIALS’ GST
No less than Philippine Commission on Women Chairperson Hon. Remedios I. Rikken served as one of the resource persons for the Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) conducted among BPSU top officials and new GFPS-CHRE members on August 7-9, 2015 at Seorabeol Grand Leisure Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Chair Rikken worked in tandem with Cris Gonzales, artist-trainer from the Philippine Educational Theater Association, to deliver the customized modules for the 34 trainees.
BPSU CONDUCTS FIRST REGIONAL GST
BPSU, through the GFPS-CHRE, extends its expertise and assistance to government agencies, local government units and higher education institutions in the region by conducting the first Regional Gender Sensitivity Training. With the theme “Building Capacity for GAD Planning and Budgeting for Government Agencies, LGUs and HEIs”, the training was held on August 18-20, 2015 at Raven Resort, Abucay, Bataan, and was attended by 62 participants from various parts of Bataan, as well as in Region III such as Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Mabalacat and Angeles City, Pampanga.
STUDENT LEADERS UNDERGO GAD ORIENTATION
To foster awareness on Gender and Development as students at the helm of planning and securing the welfare of their peers, 38 newly-elected Campus Student Council Officers attended a GAD Orientation on 17 April 2015 at Raven Resort, Abucay, Bataan.
201 NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL COMPLETE GST MODULES 3 AND 4
After the successful conduct of the Basic Seminar on Gender and Development (Modules 1 and 2) for non-teaching employees in 2014, the GFPS-CHRE rolled out Modules 3 and 4 of the Gender Sensitivity Training program custom-developed for the non-teaching employees of the University.
GST Modules 3 and 4 were rolled out to 201 participants on April 27-30, 2015 at Raven Resort, Abucay, Bataan, making them eligible to attend Modules 5 and 6 to be conducted in 2016.
