BPSU CONDUCTS 3RD ANNUAL SOLIDARITY ROADSHOW
Almost 2,000 students attend VAWC, Human Rights and World AIDS Day activities
For the third straight year, the University the BPSU Solidarity Roadshow, a trademark activity GFPS-CHRE in support of the Violence Against Women Campaign, World AIDS Day, and the Human Rights Day. The Roadshow is conducted annually from November 25 until December 12 to cover the set schedules of all three international events and celebrations.
BULSU BENCHMARKS BPSU GAD
A team of 12 members from Bulacan State University-GAD Focal Point System (BulSU-GFPS) visited BPSU on 15 December 2015 to benchmark and gather insights from the GAD mainstreaming experiences of the GFPS-CHRE. The BulSU-GFPS benchmarking team was headed by Dr. Cecilia A. Geronimo.
After the standard courtesy call to the office President Gregorio J. Rodis, the BulSU group proceeded to Conference Room 2 of the Administration Building for the interaction with select members of the GFPS-CHRE.
MABALACAT CITY LGU TAPS BPSU GAD TRAINERS FOR GST
A month after serving as resource persons for Mabalacat City College, the BPSU GFPS-CHRE returned to Pampanga as invited resource persons for the Gender Sensitivity Training++ (GST++) modules specially designed for Mabalacat City’s 120 employees detailed in the various departments of city hall.
Participants were divided into three batches for the one-day GST++ sessions conducted on December 2-4, 2015 at Grace Crown Hotel, Balibago, Angeles City.
BPSU GFPS-CHRE ASSISTS MABALACAT CITY COLLEGE
Serves as resource persons of the first Graduating Students GAD Orientation
Upon invitation, a four-person team from the GFPS-CHRE served as resource persons for Mabalacat City College’s first ever GAD Orientation for Graduating Students. The activity was conducted on November 4-5, 2015 at Jade Hall, Xevera Compound, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, and is the first of numerous assistance to be extended by BPSU to Mabalacat LGU to further their GAD mainstreaming efforts.
BPSU CONDUCTS REGIONAL TRAINING ON GENDER ANALYSIS AND GAD TOOLS
In response to the requests of the attendees of the Regional Gender Sensitivity Training in August, the University through its GAD trainers conducted on October 22-23, 2015 the Regional Training-Workshop on Gender Analysis and GAD Planning and Budgeting for Government Agencies, LGUs and HEIs at Raven Resort, Abucay, Bataan.
With the scheduled preparation of the GAD Plan and Budget as per PCW Circular Number 2015-04, the GFPS-CHRE trained the participants on the technicalities of Gender Analysis and GAD Planning and Budgeting through the use of the instruments and tools developed by PCW, NEDA and DBM.
