bpsu-interfaith The Blessing and Inauguration of the BPSU Interfaith Chapel in the Main Campus was held, Jan. 18, 2013. It was spearheaded by Rev. Fr. Benedict Maria Cruz and participated in by the BPSU Family led by Dr. Delfin O. Magpantay, BPSU President. After the said event, a tribute to the outgoing Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) was held in front of the Graduate School Building. The tribute revealed surprises prepared for Dr. Sanchez, BPSU’s version of “Ate Vilma Santos,” as everyone used to tag her.

Different offices of BPSU and students joined the program and executed their own special ways of paying tribute to the retiring officer. The event coined as “A Day to Show Gratitude” concluded with a community singing.

Much of all, Dr. Sanchez expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the  university from the day she started working up to the time that she has to leave the academe.
She was also instrumental in raising up funds for the Interfaith Chapel by encouraging various sectors of the community to share resources for its construction.
