The Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in Social Studies prepares individuals for the broad spectrum of educational positions and roles in the fields of education. It prepares education students for the various administrative and supervisory positions in elementary, secondary, post-secondary and vocational programs. This program provides advanced academic and professional preparation in the field of Social Studies Teaching.
Objectives
- Upgrade the competencies of teachers in teaching Social Studies
- Instill among student-professionals the ability to undertake scientific inquiry and independent research for the advancement of knowledge;
- Develop professional leadership and human resources in support to regional and national agenda;
- Transform student-professional to realize their fullest potential both personal and professional; and
