Secretary Marianito D. Roque of the Department of Labor and Employment this year’s Guest Speaker during the Commencement Exercises of the BPSU Main Campus held last 26 March 2010.

In his speech, Secretary Roque enumerated not only the highs and lows in his life but also relayed to the graduates accomplishments as well as the setbacks he experienced being the secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment. According to Secretary Roque, generating more jobs for the Filipinos is among the biggest targets of the government. To ensure that the number of unemployed Filipinos will further decrease, the DOLE is conducting several jobs fairs in the various parts of the country. With his hopes of contributing to the eradication of poverty in the country, he mentioned that DOLE continues to coordinate with local and international companies that will offer vacant positions and provide opportunities to Filipinos who deserve gainful employment.

Seeking to provide equal opportunities to the Bataeños and to become an instrument in bringing hope and inspiration to the new graduates, Secretary Roque announced that DOLE will conduct a jobs fair in Bataan on 01 May 2010.
