As a continuing commitment of the University in providing development opportunities to the inmates of the Bataan District Jail (BDJ), thirty inmates and one personnel of the BDJ received a two-month training on Food and Beverage Service (Waitering) with Table Setting and Skirting, and Room Service which commenced last May 22, 2012 and ended on August 3, 2012.

Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) testing officials granted all the 31 participants with NC II certification, posting a 100% passing rate. The NC II certification issued by TESDA is a passport to employment locally and internationally.

According to Mrs. Bernadeth Gabor,faculty-extensionist, the active and dedicated participation of the inmates have led to the 100% passing rate of the inmates in the highly strict testing procedures of the TESDA.
